I’ve already done my research a bit to know it’s not the best place to exchange money, but I just need enough to catch a cab and get myself to my hotel and a local bank to exchange the rest. So I’m wondering how does it work. Am I able to just give them Us Dollars in Cash? It doesn’t have to be on a credit card or a bank account right? How does the process go, I just hand them the cash and all done?

Share with me your experiences with currency exchange. I’m 16 and I am corn detasseling this summer.. I will make around 1200$ and I don’t want to spend it. I’d rather safely make money off currency exchange. The only problem is I have little experience with the market. It seems like it would be much safer than the stock market but I’m not quite sure. I recently came back from work in Europe (I live in Indiana). I have a large amount of Euros, and need to exchange them to US dollars. The current actual rate today is $1.29 to 1 Euro. Every bank/airport currency exchange I have called has given me horrible rates from $1.14 - $1.17 to 1 Euro. How is it that they are taking 15%?!? Is there a place to exchange money that doesn’t take such a huge percentage of the money?
