A friend of mine is visiting from India, and we are wondering where he can exchange his currency?
Christopher asked:

He is not a member of a United States Bank.

I think most banks have some sort of exchange program. If not, ask customs. John B

All the airport in India have exchange counters but the rates there would not be favorable to you.
You can have your account in MNC Banks like Citibank, HSBC etc and get it exchanged at local branch in India.
Alternatively you can keep your international credit card and pay by that in India. KHS
