Future Mrs. Emery asked: I’m 16 years old, going on a foreign exchange to Japan for 10 months. I’m going to be getting money sent to me, but I have to find a decent or moderately easy way to exchange currencies.
I’m really stumped on this one.
I’m going to be living in Chita-shi in the Aichi-ken prefecture, and it appears to be a somewhat small city.. but it isn’t far from Nagoya and Tokai-shi. I’m just wondering what my options are, seeing as I am only 16.

Matthias asked: I know it jumps up and down but I need an average rate to go by.
Or rather what is the formula for finding the rate?

foodjunkie asked: I will be traveling to Japan soon and I was wondering where I can exchange currency for the lowest fee? It could be in either NYC or Tokyo.
Thanks!

Jumpy asked: I would like to chance Australian dollars into Japanese yen. I’m in Melbourne right now and I’m thinking I will get better rates if I exchange here than in Japan. In general do banks give better rates in Australia?

Jatznic asked:
I will be traveling to Japan this summer and need to exchange currency. My bank charges me 7% plus a Delivery fee to get foreign currency. I was told I can exchange it for free once I am there. Does anyone know if the Sapporro airport has a currency exchange facility, or will I need to go to a bank once I am there?
