Bad girl asked: I’m going on holiday to Paris. With all the Euro thingy going on, would it be better to exchange currency in the UK or would I get a better exchange rate once I’m actually abroad? BTW I’m going to Paris.

Jennifer M asked: I’m traveling to Europe for a month and need to exchange USD for british pounds, euros, and swiss francs. I can exchange currency at my bank but I’m wondering if there’s a better way to do it.
Anyone travel frequently that can help me out?
Are those ATMs in the countries I’m visiting?

sgt. pepper asked: I’m going to Europe next month and I know the exchange rate is terrible but I wanted to know what method of conversion gives me the most Euro for the buck… traveler’s cheques? exchanging cash at a local exchange place? using my atm card everywhere I go? Taking money out of the ATMs there? From your experience, what has been the most convenient and cheapest method?

CuriousEU asked: I am going to visit different countries in Europe and I don’t know which will give you the best exchange rate??
Should I go to Forex in my own country to exchange currency ahead of time? Or should I use my Debit card to withdraw money at ATM machines when I arrive to that particular country?
So far I just know if you use ATM at airport is not a good idea, and bringing traveller’s cheque does not give you good rates either.

Needhelp asked:
I will be travelling to Italy in late April. Should I buy Euro in the States or wait till I am there. Either way, where should I get it: at a bank, hotel or the foreign currency exchange stores or just use my ATM card? (I know the US$ is weak, so have to find the best way to buy Euro) Thanks!
