Does the currency exchange rate change over time?

Currency Exchange
amburr asked:

I have 100 Banco Central do Brasil dollars and I would like to exchange it for US money. I checked and it said that it is equal to $56 US dollars. Will it ever be worth more than $56 or could it possibly decrease in value? When does the the currency rate change? Thank you for your time. I really appreciate your explanations.

Currency exchange rates fluctuate all the time. It is possible to watch the markets to see when your Brasil dollars will be worth the most in US dollars.

Be advised, if you’re going to do the exchange, it’s best to do it through a bank with a branches in both countries, if possible. They tend to charge less for the transaction. Steve K

It changes very often. I can change on a day to day basis and the value could increase or decrease. Maeg

The currency changes all the time, the value can increase and decrease it all depends on the country’s revenues through export and services it offers. Esmir

Currency exchange rates change everyday. Currency speculators will put their money into or take it out a particular countries currency based on so many reasons. marshall

The currency exchange rates for all currencies essentially change constantly, although not normally a significant amount.

There’s not much sense in waiting…

Currency rate is always fluctuating. The U.S dollar has actually been decreasing in value. I wouldn’t plan on it ever going up, at least not in the near future. shanerd123
