How much is it to get a title and license plate from the Currency Exchange or somewhere?

Currency Exchange

I’m going to get a used car in a few weeks from a dealership or Craigslist.

And I live in Illinois.

Thanks!

  1. David W. Says:

You get the title from the seller. Once you have the title, you get insurance from an agent, then take the title, insurance, money for taxes and fees and car to a license branch and get the registration and license plate(s). The exact fees and taxes depend on your state; check its DMV web site, which may tell you; otherwise, you’ll have to call the DMV. David W.
