I did a currency conversion using Google and Yahoo and both return different rates. Why is it so? Which one is closer to correct? For e.g USD to INR is 47.16 in Google and 47.24 in Yahoo.

Where is the best place to exchange currency — near White Plains or Tarrytown, New York or possibly in NYC?

I heard the best place to exchange currency is a bank. We took our Swiss Francs to HSBC where we have an account and got a terrible exchange rate! I’m trying to find somewhere else where we could take our cash and get a decent rate. Any suggestions on where to go or how to find a place (yes, I’ve already done a whole bunch of Google searches)

Thanks for any info you can provide!

Can anyone recommend a reliable FOREX trading platform?

Several searches of google provide hundreds of results for companies providing this service, is anyone using or has used any they would recommend?

I am new to FOREX and would ideally like to start on a trial basis, with a view to real investments in time, so recommendations for either would be appreciated.

Thanks

Are there any good forex books by authors that actually make money on trading?

I’m after a book introducing me to the inner workings of Forex trading. I’ve taken a quick look at a few books, but they all appear to be written by people that make a living from Forex trading, rather than writing about how to do it & providing seminars?

When you Google or Wikipedia the authors, you don’t seem to find a lot of information about them, other than they have written a book!
