What are the options of an Indian student for managing currency exchange during a 100 day stay in Europe?

I am weighing the options for:
- Getting a SBI Vishwa yatra card or any such card
- Exchanging for Euros in India, take them there and deposit in a student’s bank account
- Taking traveller’s cheques and then deposit them in a European bank as and when required.
