I am picturing a “set it and forget it” program that constantly calculates the value of complex currency cycles and automatically executes an arbitrage trade when one becomes available. I understand the window of opportunity on such trades would be very short, is it even possible?

I am trading through fxcm. I have been repeatedly locked out of my trade station while trades were open. I lost a ton of cash through slippage. I’m wondering if I can file a chargeback and if so, how? I used a debit card.

I am doing normal daily trading of EUR/USD, trades lasting a few hours on average. I am not sure if this is considered futures or securities and I therefore don’t know how to pay taxes on it.

Hello asked:
Like I read in one of the forums that when you trade forex your broker’s networks are the ones who create your data feed and the chart you see. So if he can ’see’ my trades, won’t he try to track and ‘manipulate’ them in some way? I’m really new to FX but curious to understand how the trading jungle functions.

I am interested in trading forex but don’t know if capital gain tax is due in Canada on such trades? And what if I use a US based broker? I saw that some brokers are based in Swiss and other places and accounts open with them are capital tax exempt. Does anyone know more about it? Thanks.

I have different sources tell me yes and no. I know a lot of new bylaws have been passed to govern the Forex market and the people who trade in it. But for the ordinary person that trades for forex for friends and family do you need to be registered? Are IB and Money Managers the same thing?
