Currency exchange is different for different locations. Some countries still have exchange controls, and you may need to go via the reserve bank. Most places I’ve visited have post offices, banks or travel shops that can offer currency exchange.

Normally you walk in with the local currency you want to exchange, they tell you how much you can get in foreign currency and let you know if there is a charge (or commission). If you like the deal, go for it - if not, shop around.

    Hope that helps. capethistle

currency exchanges charge a fee to exchange differing currency’s. try calling various banks to see what the exchange rate is. pick a bank that gives you a better exchange for your money whitemitten1234
