Travelex is pretty good- they don't charge a service fee for anything over $450 and the more money you spend, they will give you a currency return guarantee and a better rate. You can come back with any leftover money and exchange it without a fee or a markup on the rate. I would suggest exchanging all your money before you leave. If you use ATMs all the time, you will be killed by fees and exchange rates- it will end up costing you more money in the end. As I am in Australia it would be a bit far to come for the exchanging here, but give the local coin dealers a try? the best thing would be to change it in Thailand there will be ATM’s at the airport. they will also accept the greenbacks.
