Which is more practical to use the currency exchange at the London airport or at the San Francisco airport?

Currency Exchange
kittle b asked:

I’m going to San Francisco, USA this coming April and would like to an idea if it’s more practical to use the currency exchange at the Heathrow airport for Pounds to Dollars or should I do that when I arrive at the San Francisco airport? Or is there any difference?
Thanks

i think you get taxed in london, but the san fransisco one might require a 30 dollar exchange fee.

I would use neither. I would go to a bank and exchange my money. some places at airports charge high fees. A bank in London or San Francisco, I don’ think it makes a difference.
